Jenn Jansen is a textile artist and writer rooted in the heathlands of Drenthe, in the northern Netherlands. Her practice draws from the region’s landscape and rhythms: the quiet expanses, the cycles of growth and decay, and the textures of local plants, flowers, and stones. Using natural fibers, colors, and inspiration sourced from this environment, she creates textile works and writings that meditate on authenticity, connection, belonging and finding meaning through metaphor in the natural world. Her work mirrors the northern landscape itself—layered, resilient, and cyclical—where reflection and making are inseparable acts of grounding and transformation.
